This Easter weekend will be your last chance to get your FFTANG! on for a while as we’re taking an extended hiatus after three packed years of tropical mashup fiestas. We’ve got the Amersham Arms in New Cross locked and loaded for our blow-out party. Check out the Facebook event here.

After that? Who knows? There’ll be one more set from Huskiii this year at Camino on April 20 and we’re not ruling out the possibility of the occasional one-off throwdown but chances are that that’s it for 2012.

Thanks to everybody who’s partied and played with us over the last three years, from the 93 Feet East midweek jams to the heaving Big Chill House takeover and all the bars/clubs/warehouses/houseparties in between. We’ll be back – watch this space.

The sun has set in East London. After two and a half years we’ve decided to call time on our 93 Feet East night and move on to fresher pastures. It’s all about second Thursdays of the month now. And basements. Music sounds better when it’s underground.

Here’s what’s coming up

October’s event takes place at Archway’s Hideaway Bar next Thursday. It was a long search to find a venue to coax us away from our cosy Brick Lane hangout but when we came across this nugget of a bar we knew we had to get involved. Marsali and Huskiii bring the tunes. Paolo brings the drums. You bring your dancing shoes and we’ll supply the rum punch.

We hit the West for November’s show with a special event at our favourite venue in Londres… the subterranean Edwardian public convenience: Ginglik. After smashing our bon voyage party at 93 Feet East we’ve invited back Subculture Sounds to bring the carnival vibes, whilst Huskiii’s on latin / balkan mashup duty. With live percussion, brass and a performance from Captain Trumpet who’ll be playing his penultimate UK gig.
